DANCE AND DRAMATICS:
I have always loved dance and dramatics. Theater always fascinates me and i have been quite actively involved in it.
I have got the chance to perform for one of the most talented actor, director, and writer, Mr Abhinay Banker in a play.
I have given several onstage group dance and theatrical performances.
I have been an integral part of the dance and dramatics club and was the secretary for the club during the 4th year of my undergrad.
LEADERSHIP ROLES:
I also Led a department of 150 members as a publicity head for the university’s socio annual cultural fest. Discharged my duties as a team leader with proficiency to help my department bag the award for best department.
As publicity head, I was in charge of organizing groups of student members and assigning them tasks such as visiting different universities to publicize about the events and sponsors of the fest. I was responsible to provide them with adequate transportation facilities and coordinate with other cultural departments and event managers so that everything goes smoothly as planned. In my opinion, I efficiently demonstrated credibility as a team head.
My prime role was to motivate the team and develop strategies and distribute tasks among them. I was also responsible to form a connecting link between the contingent leaders and communicate with them effectively for event publicity. It was difficult to coordinate between ongoing academic projects and being a publicity head for a cultural fest known to be one of the best. Man management was another issue I faced, but was able to analyze it on time and hence I started working for long stretches and holding meetings with my committee members and get everyone on board to keep in check if things are moving the way I planned and if any revision was needed to the strategies.
My end goal was to attract and get as many teams as possible to participate and audience to attend the fest and make it a success. With my team’s consistent commitment and dedication we were able to achieve our target footfall for that year and the participation was overwhelming too.
